LINCOLN -- Bryan Snyder doesn't just own a small business, he believes in helping them succeed.

"I love small businesses," Snyder said. "I really like being involved in a community like Lincoln and helping local business owners. There are real good folks here."

Snyder has been president of the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce for two months. He's been a member of the Chamber for more than two years and served as vice-president prior to being elected president.

Snyder moved his business, Bryke LLC, to Lincoln from Prairie Grove after a friend told him about a building to rent at 206 E. Pridemore Drive. He looked at the building, liked it and moved. Bryke is a distributor of parts for racing vehicles.

"I enjoyed meeting and working with everybody," Snyder said about the move three years ago. He has owned the international business for seven years.

"We have an online catalog and we're on different websites -- market places like Amazon and eBay," said Snyder, adding he does have some walk-in business.

"Obviously, I like racing," said Snyder. He has raced a go-cart he owns at an Oklahoma race track. "I haven't had much time for it lately though."

Snyder is a Kansas native. He moved to Arkansas after getting a job in Greenbrier. Two years later he moved to Fayetteville and attended the University of Arkansas to complete a degree in marketing.

Snyder is not only involved with the Chamber but he's a member of Lincoln Kiwanis Club.

"I want to promote and encourage local growth," said Snyder about the community and local businesses.

Snyder said he's a Christian and attends Prairie Grove Christian Church. He and his wife, Brooke, have been married 10 years. She teaches third grade at Prairie Grove Elementary School. They have a seven-year-old daughter, Addisyn.
