LINCOLN -- Paul Crouch, physical education teacher with Lincoln School District and soccer coach, has helped organize the first annual Trail Race at Lincoln Lake.
The 8K race will begin at 9 a.m. on May 31 at the parking area. Runners will follow the lake loop, spillway area and finish back at the parking area.
"It's the first racing event out there," Crouch said, adding donations came in from local businesses to help with the cost.
For those who prefer to walk, there will be a 1-2 mile fun hike at the same time.
Crouch said registration forms are available at all three Lincoln schools. Registration fee is $20 and t-shirts will be guaranteed for anyone who registers by May 9. All proceeds will go to Friends of Lincoln Lake to help support the lake and its trails.
