NWA Battle Win Streak Now At Four

Jones Scores Two Rushing Touchdowns

LINCOLN -- The NWA Battle extended their win streak to four games on April 12 blanking the visiting Rose Hill (Kan,) Zombies 14-0.

Battle runningback Jermaine Jones scored on a 5-yard touchdown run with 5:03 left in the second quarter to give the Battle (4-1) a 7-0 halftime lead. Jones would see the end zone again with 9:14 left in the fourth quarter on a 32-yard touchdown run. Northwest Arkansas' offense struggled during the game turning the ball over on downs three times inside the 10 yard line to a tough Zombie (1-4) defense.

The Battle defense kept the Zombies on their heels most of the night forcing nine turnovers and recording six sacks led by linebacker Josh Anderson with two sacks. Cody Hammer lead with 10 tackles and defensive back Jason Campbell returned a Zombie interception 27 yards to record his 106th career interception.
