PG Telco To Close Farmington Office

FARMINGTON -- PG Telco will close its Farmington office April 30, according to a news release from the company.

"The need for an additional storefront in the Farmington market has diminished due to the ever increasing customer migration to online and mobile account management applications," the news release states.

Dale Reed, sales and marketing manager, said the Farmington office, which opened July 2007, does not see many customers come through the door.

"Customers have so many different options to pay their bills and see their bills," Reed said, noting that more people are using apps with their smartphones to take care of business.

PG Telco has introduced a new SmartHub system that allows customers to pay online or manage their accounts online or via smartphone.

Reed said two employees work in Farmington and they will relocate to the Prairie Grove office. The news release says PG Telco will continue to maintain its Prairie Grove office for customers who need additional assistance.
