Judy Welch Cavette

PRAIRIE GROVE -- Judy Welch Cavette, age 66, of Prairie Grove, widow of Billy Cavette, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.

Judy is survived by one son, Michael Cavette; her mother, Bertha Welch; one brother; Richard Welch (Becky); and one sister, Debbie Jackson (Roger).

Graveside services were held Friday, Aug. 15, at Sunset Memorial Park in Barton. Funeral arrangements were by Bob Neal & Sons-Brickell Funeral Home of Marvell.

James Virden Guinn Jr.

FARMINGTON -- James Virden Guinn Jr., 80, a resident of Farmington, passed away Aug. 10, 2014, at his home. He was born June 12, 1934, at Robbins, Okla., the son of James Virden and Murel McCaslin Guinn Sr.

James was retired from the University of Arkansas Physical plant with 33 years of service. He was a 32nd-degree Mason. He and his wife were full time RV'ers. He was a member of the Farmington Baptist Church. He was an avid woodworker, fisherman, gardener, craftsman and jack-of-all-trades. He had a great love for his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Kaye Guinn; his parents and one brother, Charles Edward Guinn.

Survivors include one son, Wayne Feterly of Wagoner, Okla.; three daughters, Rebecca Hurlburt and husband Chuck of Farmington, Angel Turner and husband Steve of Siloam Springs, Leanna Foshe and husband John of Fayetteville; two sisters, Edith McCarthy and Louis Gibbons, both of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Jordan Hurlburt, Samantha Hurlburt, Kaitlyn Feterly, Elizabeth Caudle, Jacob Williams, Chance Bardsley, Haley Foshe, and Caleb Foshe; two great-grandchildren, Payton and Rylee Caudle; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two dogs, Trixie and Jake.

Funeral service was held Aug. 12, 2014, at the Farmington Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Preston Beeks officiating. Burial was in the Farmington Cemetery.

Mildred Whinery Edmonston

CLOVIS, N.M. -- Goldie Mildred Whinery Edmonston passed away Aug. 6, 2014. She was born in a three-room house built during the Civil War near Evansville, Ark., Jan. 23, 1920, to Elmer Ernest Whinery and Goldie S. Gallway Whinery, now both deceased.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Edmonston, of more than 66 years, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by son, Ernest Edmonston and daughter-in-law Roseanne of Roswell; a daughter, Linda Bentley of Clovis, a granddaughter Marla Edmonston of Albuquerque, and several nieces and nephews.

Mildred was raised in Arkansas during the Depression and wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone who would listen, how hard times were there. She married Marvin in Clovis, N.M., on Feb. 8, 1941, and lived in the Clovis area for the rest of her life. Mildred was a homemaker for the most part. She also worked in the Clovis school system, Furr's Cafeteria and as a poll worker when time allowed. Mildred was a fun loving person and her favorite hobby was talking. She also enjoyed crocheting and made some beautiful quilts during her younger years. Mildred was of the Baptist faith and will be missed by her friends and remaining relatives.

Joyce Paine

Joyce Paine, 82, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away August 15, 2014 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born April 10, 1932, in Watonga, Oklahoma, the daughter of Eldorado and Ethel Morene Jackson Baird.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Claude Paine, one son Cletus Floyd Paine.

Survivors include two sons, John Paine of Kansas, Okla., and Russell Paine of Aydin, Turkey; one daughter, Jullie Wallace of Kansas, Okla.; two brothers, Jack Baird of Farmington, Ark., and Bordon "Sonny" Hessel of Oregon; two sisters, Judy Hayes of Eagle Point, Ore., and Pricilla Bennet of Lynnwood, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Karen Fineberg, Sydney Wallace, Ian Paine, Natasha Wallace, Lynn Paine, Kayla Paine and Dallas Paine; two great grandchildren, Aiden Fineberg and Zoey Fineberg.

The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m., Thursday at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Interment will be in the Lincoln Cemetery. Graveside services will not be held at the cemetery.
