Prairie Grove Woman Arrested

FARMINGTON -- Police arrested two people in connection with drug charges after a traffic stop on Nov. 21 in Farmington.

Diane Corey, 44, of 320 E. Thurman St. in Prairie Grove faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Eric Pergeson, 42, of 2917 Old Greenwood Road in Fort Smith faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor driving on a suspended or revoked license and driving left of center, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The two were pulled over at the intersection of Rheas Mill Road and Bellwood Drive after Pergeson drove left of the center line, according to the arrest report.

Police said the two acted nervous as police talked with them, according to arrest reports. Pergeson allowed police to search his car, and an oxymorphone pill was sitting on his seat, which Corey said belonged to her.

Continuing to search, police found 11 bags of methamphetamine, totaling 17 grams, and three oxymorphone pills, according to the reports.

At the Washington County Detention Center, deputies found four small bags of methamphetamine in Pergeson's wallet.

Pergeson and Corey were being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $3,500 bond each.
