City Employees To Receive Raise

LINCOLN -- A special called Lincoln City Council meeting was called for Dec. 1 to discuss a special order, which would give city employees a raise.

Chuck Wood, city business manager, told aldermen the city is anticipating a 1.75 percent raise for employees. A one-time only bonus may be given if funds are available.

If the money is there one-time bonuses could range from $200-$500, according to an employee bonus list.

Wood also reported the library has two Certificates of Deposit, totaling $23,000, that are maturing.

"These funds were earmarked to pay for the new librarty expenses," Wood said. "About $21,000 has been used for debt reserve."

Mayor Rob Hulse told the council he would like to cash the CDs and place the money in the capital improvement fund to reimburse this fund for the money that was earmarked for the library.

Alderman Bob McDonald moved to reimburse the capital improvement fund with money from the two CDs. It was approved.

Coby Hall and Troy Myers were absent at the special meeting.
