Men Charged With Multiple Towntitown Thefts

Two men, one from Farmington, are facing felony and misdemeanor charges for multiple theft cases in Tontitown, according to a news release from the Tontitown Police Department.

Ryan Edwards, 23, of 10835 Blue Sky Road in Farmington, and Hunter Edwards, 19, 15512 Quail Road in Fayetteville, were arrested Dec. 11 in connection with 12 counts of breaking or entering and one count of tempering with evidence.

Kristopher Arthur, police chief, said by email the thefts occurred from Dec. 5-10. The news release states the police recovered two guns, hundreds of tools, car accessories and other items. Many of the items were returned to owners during the day Friday. Others were found burned at the Fayetteville address.

The news release said full confessions were received from both individuals and letters of apology were written to the victims. Police delivered the letters to the residents. Arthur wrote that items were taken from unlocked cars and garages. Some of the vehicles had broken windows. He also expressed his thanks for the use of interview space at Farmington Police Department.

The news release urges citizens to lock cars, outbuildings, garages and keep all valuables locked up in residences.
