Summer Ball Sign-Up

Sign-ups for T-Ball, softball and baseball will begin Tuesday, Jan. 6 through Friday, Feb. 13. Applications will be available from Jan. 6 -- Feb. 13 at City Hall or online at http://www.cityoffarmingtonar.com/ or be picked up at Farmington City Hall on Tuesday nights from 5-8 p.m.

Fees are determined by boy's age on April 30 and girl's age on Jan. 1, as follows: 5-6 year-olds tee-ball, $50; 7-8 year-olds, $60; 9-10 year-olds, $60; 11-12 year-olds, $60; and boys, ages 13-15, $65; girls ages 13-14, $65.

Hiking Trips Planned

Ozarks Highland Trail Association will sponsor two hikes, open to the public. The first one will be held Saturday, Dec. 27 near Pelsor, about two hours from Fayetteville. This hike will start at 10 a.m. at Pedestal Rocks. The group will have lunch at Jasper and then hike at Round Top Mountain. To get to Pedestal Rocks, take AR 16 to Pelsor, turn left staying on Highway 16 and Pedestal Rocks is about 6 miles on the right. The second hike will be an overnight backpacking trip on Butterfield Trail at Devils Den State Park on Jan. 24-25. For more information or to register, contact [email protected].
