Prairie Grove Lake Report

PRAIRIE GROVE -- Fishing on Prairie Grove Lake continues throughout the summer.

"Bass are doing well in the early morning hours with good catches on a variety of lures," said Dennis Kruse, Lake Manager.

Kruse said catfish are being caught on live bait and of all choices for catching bream the best option is to use crickets and worms.

Prairie Grove Lake is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $2 per person or $3 a boat. Kids, 16 and under, fish free and senior citizens over 65 receive a $1 discount. Canoes, kayaks and boats with electric motors can be used but because the 200 acre lake is Prairie Grove's water source gas motors are prohibited.
