Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia recently announced the names of 333 students who qualified for the Dean's List (3.5 grade point average or higher) following the Spring 2015 semester. Among the students recognized from this area are Colleen Burrus, a sophomore from Farmington, and Caleigh Moyer, a junior from Lincoln.
Adam Ness of Farmington has been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester of University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Three local students at University of Arkansas were elected into Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society: Rebecca Black, a journalism major, and Shannon Harris, a Spanish major, both of Prairie Grove, both graduated in the top 10 percent of their class from J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences; Kaylee Scott of Farmington, an antrolopolgy major in Fulbright College was one of 11 outstanding juniors to maintain a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
The following students were named as Presidential Scholars (4.0 grade point average) for spring semester at University of Central Arkansas: Lauren Goff, Mackenzie Goff, Audrey Rodgers, all from Farmington; Joseph Baker, Spencer Hulse, Megan Dixon, all of Lincoln.
The following students were named Dean's Scholars (3.5 GPA or higher) for spring semester at University of Central Arkansas: Brooklyn Barnes, Wezley Uher and John Vinzant, all of Prairie Grove.
Anna Askegaard of Farmington was named to the Wartburg College Dean's List for the winter/May term.
