Bowling Tournament

Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its annual bowling tournament at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Ozark Lanes in Fayetteville, For more information, call 824-0966 or 848-0111.

Lincoln Cemetery

Decoration for Lincoln Cemetery will be May 16 and May 17. Volunteers will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

AARP Driver Safety Class

Lincoln Senior Center will be hosting an AARP Driver Safety class on Monday, June 1. The class, designed especially for drivers aged 50 and older, will begin at 12 p.m. and last until approximately 4:45 p.m. Fees for the class are $15 for AARP members (you will need to have your AARP membership card with you) and $20 for non-members. The fees will be collected the morning of the class and must be paid by cash or personal check made out to AARP. Participants must also bring their driver's license to the class. Tractor Show and Pull

The 20th annual Tractor Show and Pull will be held Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, at Nolen Farm in Morrow. The farm is located at the intersection of state Highway 45 and County Road 3. Gates open at 8 a.m. each day. Kiddie tractor pull at 12:30 p.m., parade of power at 1 p.m., tractor pull at 1:15 p.m. Tractor raffle this year is a 1950 Oliver 66 Row Crop. Celebration Of Life Lantern Launch

Farmington First Church of the Nazarene is excited to host its first annual Celebration of Life Lantern Launch at the Farmington City Park on Monday, May 25 from 5-8 p.m. This will be a time to come together as a local community to celebrate and honor the lives of loved ones dear to us and those who have served our country. A special Lantern Launch ceremony will take place right at sunset. Lanterns can be pre purchased for $2 prior to the event at Farmington First Church of the Nazarene or by calling 479-799-3457. They can also be purchased at the event while supplies last.There will be free music, food and snow cones available for the community to enjoy. Please join us for this Memorial Day Community celebration.

Decorating Sharp Cemetery for Memorial Day will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17. Everyone is invited.

Illinois Chapel Cemetery

Illinois Chapel Cemetery Decoration Day is Sunday, May 17. Potluck lunch is at 12:30 p.m., the business meeting at 1 p.m., and everyone will go to the cemetery for decoration at 2 p.m. For more information contact Molly Ashley at 479-846-2668.

Blood Drive

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will have a blood drive, 4:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 20 at Prairie Grove Christian Church, 611 Villines. The Blood Center has issued a Code Yellow Alert for O Negative and B Negative blood types.

Kiwanis Information Meeting

An initial meeting to start a Kiwanis Club in Prairie Grove will be held 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 29 at the Latta Barn at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. The public is invited to come to the meeting and find out more about Kiwanis, which is an international organization to help children in a community.
