Tree Lighting
The city of Farmington will sponsor a Tree Lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, in the grassy area next to Farmington Public Library. It will include music, hot chocolate, cookies and visits with Santa Claus.
Kiwanis Christmas Parade
Farmington Kiwanis Christmas Parade will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, beginning at Folsom Elementary on Grace Lane. A chili supper, sponsored by Farmington High FFA, will be held at 5 p.m. in Folsom cafeteria. The theme of this year's parade is "It's a Merry Minion Christmas." Hot chocolate and cookies will be available at Farmington United Methodist Church after the parade. For float entry forms, email [email protected].
Christmas Yard Sale
Farmington Senior Activity and Wellness Center will have a Christmas yard sale, 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 5 at the center, 340 W. Main St.
Silent Auction
Farmington First Church of the Nazarene will host a Silent Auction on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., open to the public. This event will be held at 9 S. Cherry St., in the fellowship hall. Christmas On Square
The city of Lincoln will sponsor its annual Lincoln Christmas on the Square at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12. The event includes a free chicken dinner, cider, hot chocolate, free pony rides, Christmas music and a visit from Santa Claus.
PRAIRIE GROVE
Christmas With Santa
Prairie Grove Chamber Old-Fashioned Christmas will be 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, at Mock Park. The celebration will include music, a visit from Santa Claus and a beans and cornbread dinner sponsored by Junior Civic League in the chamber building, beginning at 5 p.m. Cost is $7 including dessert, drink. Hotdog meals will be available for children for $3.50.The public is invited to join in the festivities.
Chamber Banquet
The annual banquet for Prairie Grove Area Chamber of Commerce will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Prairie Grove High School. Tickets are $20.
