Last month, Williams Elementary celebrated its 10th year for recognizing grandparents and this year, kindergarten through third-grade students treated their grandmothers and grandfathers to a popular variety/comedy TV series from the past, The Hee Haw Show.

Using skits from the TV show that aired from 1969-1997, students recreated Kornfield Kounty and performed some of the scenes from the series: the funny barbershop scene, corny jokes and the milk jug band. Grandparents' Day lasted throughout the week, with one day set aside for each grade.

More than 700 guests participated.
