Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park has several events scheduled the next month.
From 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, and Sunday, Feb. 21, the state park will have its first "Old Time Fun at the Museum." Meet at Hindman Hall Visitor Center for games or crafts of the day. The park will provide materials. Admission is free.
This event will continue each weekend at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The park will sponsor Confederate History Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5. Activities during the day will include camp life and living history activities. Visitors are encouraged to wander the grounds and talk with re-enactors. The days' activities are presented by volunteer re-enactors from Prairie Grove Sons of Confederate Veterans Thomas C. Hindman Camp #656.
