Bingo/Dinner Fundraiser

Farmington Senior Activity and Wellness Center will have a Super Bingo fundraiser and dinner Friday, July 22 at the center on Main Street. A homestyle dinner with meatloaf, mashed potatoes and other side items will be at 5 p.m. for $3 and each Bingo card is $2. Carryout dinners are available for $6. To order ahead, call 267-5709.

Animal Shelter Benefit

Onion Creek Home, 183 W. Main St., will have a "Sunglasses & Mimosas" benefit 7-10 p.m., Saturday, July 23 to bring awareness to the needs of area animal shelters and rescues. The event will include live music, drawings and refreshments. Visitors are asked to bring supplies to help shelters, such as paper towels, paper and plastic bags.

PRAIRIE GROVE

Conversion Charter Public Hearing

Prairie Grove School District will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 21 in the Prairie Grove High School cafeteria located at 500 Cole Drive. The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of Prairie Grove School District's plans to file an application for conversion charter status for grades 9-12. A question and answer session will follow. All interested students, parents and the public are invited to attend.

Movie Night At Pool

Prairie Grove Aquatic Park will host a movie night, featuring "Zootopia," on Friday night (July 22). Gates open at 8 p.m. and the movie starts at 9:15 p.m. Entry is canned or boxed food item or $2 per person. Only flat floaties or rafts will be allowed in the pool during the movie.

American Legion BBQ

American Legion Post 171 in Lincoln invites all members, local veterans and families to a chicken BBQ at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30. Please respond by July 20 with name and number attending. Call 824-5653 or 856-8771.

Back To School Bonanza

Lincoln's 7th annual Back to School Bonanza will be held 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9 at Lincoln Elementary School. The bonanza is open to children in kindergarten-7th grade and provides shoes, socks and backpacks to help children prepare for school this year. Other free services include haircuts, dental screenings, photo identification cards provided by the Sheriff's Office. The bonanza is sponsored by Central United Methodist Church in Lincoln with the assistance of other community organizations and businesses.
