Remember the annual Cincinnati reunion this Saturday, May 28, from 2 to 4 p.m, this is in the fire station east of the highway. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate for a good crowd of reunited friends. For more information, call Diane Moorman, 824-5277; John Randolph 824-3483; or Sharon Barnes, 824-3933.

Decoration this weekend: Cane Hill on Memorial Day and Farmington on Sunday, May 29.

Saturday we enjoyed another family dinner at the home of Johnny and Anna Cheatham, and I was favored with a gluten-free cake which was topped with a happy "39." OK, so I turn it around (easier to accept). I also again enjoyed many visits, gifts, calls and cards, which lasted into the next day.

Last week, we shared the clipping, "I'm drinking from my saucer, 'cause my cup has overflowed." Well, I add my post script to that --

"For my family members and friends,

And their loving deeds so true.

I need a deeper saucer,

For it is overflowing, too."

How about this "May" weather? I've always opened the foundation vents, and uncovered the air conditioner around the first of May. Now, going into the last of the month, the heat still comes on! One afternoon as I worked in the yard, I worked in the shade, as the sun was putting out "perspiring" heat. The next morning the temperature was 8 degrees above freezing. Well, in a month or two, we might be wishing for this cool rainy weather.

Now, a joke, or advice? "Next time you're feeling chilly, try standing in the corner. I hear they're usually 90 degrees."

Happy birthday to Levi Bradley, Dallas McClellan, Derk Morris, James King, Willie Leming, Colton Little, Rylee Pitts, Larry Hacker, Cody Chambliss.

Happy anniversary to Jeremy and Teresa Pitts, Sam and Maxine King.

Happy years, all!
