Fayetteville Man Charged With Burglaries

A Fayetteville man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from items stolen from vehicles and garages from three residences on Grant Avenue in Prairie Grove in early September.

Dalton Faulk, 21, was arrested Oct. 5 by Prairie Grove Police Department in connection with felony residential burglary, felony breaking and entering for articles from a vehicle and misdemeanor theft of property, according to police reports.

A Prairie Grove woman reported that a coin purse and a glass jar with loose change were missing from two of her vehicles. Another reported that her purse had been on the front seat of her vehicle while parked in the garage and the purse was missing. A third person filed a report with police that her tan purse had been missing from several days and it was last seen in her garage.

According to the reports, witnesses indicated they had seen a white male walking around in the area. Two neighbors said they saw a white male carrying what appeared to be a tan-colored object.

According to reports, Prairie Grove police received a call on Oct. 5 from Fayetteville Police Department in reference to Dalton Faulk and asked if a Prairie Grove officer wanted to interview Faulk about the items missing from Prairie Grove residences and vehicles.

During the interview held at Washington County Detention Center, Faulk did not deny any of the complaints about break-ins, according to the Prairie Grove police report. The report states that Faulk admitted to the officer he was under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs and did not remember what he had done.
