Weather Keeps Us Guessing

A very nice wedding shower was given for Brittany McManus on Sunday afternoon, with around 30 ladies attending with their best wishes. A fun game was played and a lengthy advisory was read to Brittany, partly serious, funny, and spiritual. The group knelt around her, collectively praying for the couple's upcoming life. Then the gifts! Too numerous to mention, but all were nice and useful, and no two alike. It was the most heart felt and awesome event I have ever attended. Oh, by the way, Brittany is my future great-granddaughter-in-law.

This weather certainly keeps us all guessing. Thunderstorms had been predicted for last night and today (Tuesday); but we ended up instead with moonlight and sunlight, and a record breaking high of 74 degrees.

While reading the forecast recently, I thought,

"The forecasts keep us mixed-up,

Sometimes they're even funny;

But I've a question: What's the difference

Between Partly cloudy and Partly sunny?"

A group of Americans were traveling through Holland. As they stopped at a cheese farm, a young guide led them through the process of cheese making, explaining that this cheese used goats' milk.

Then she showed them a lovely hillside where many goats were grazing. "There," she explained, "are the older goats, put out to pasture when they can no longer produce."

Curious, she asked the group "What do you do in America with your old goats?"

One spry old gentleman answered, "They send us on bus tours!"

Happy birthday to Cooper Perry, Jeremy Lewis, Wayne Andrews, Carol Pitts, Cathy Wiseman, Brian Freeman, Paige Przyszczypkowskis, Gavin Pitts, Steve Taylor, Glinda Tollett, Allee Lipford, Ann Chambliss, Neil Helm, Ella Mae Thurman.

Happy years, all!

Thought for the day- "The best time to do something is between yesterday and tomorrow."
