FARMINGTON -- Farmington High School celebrated spirit week leading up to Color's Day Friday. The Farmington High School band, flagline, cheerleaders and dance team partcipated in the ceremony. The coronation ceremony was held Friday at Cardinal Arena prior to the basketball games against Clarksville.

The court included: freshman maid Makenna VanZant, daughter of Ryan and Monica VanZant, escorted by Matthew Wilson, son of Bobby and Dawn Wilson; sophomore maid Anthea Jones, daughter of Mike and Nonni Jones, escorted by Trey Waggle, son of Josh and Kelley Waggle; sophomore maid Kristen Roman, daughter of Wilkins Roman and Ashlee Casey, escorted by Will Watts, son of Willie and Dawnette Watts; junior maid Emily Adams, daughter of Joshua Adams and Lace Adams, escorted by Skylar Montez, son of Jessie Wilson and Tony Montez, and Ethan Oxford, son of Travis McKee and Kristen Bates; junior maid Ariel Birdsong, daughter of Kendall and Amanda Birdsong, escorted by Cody Parrish, son of Chad and Amber Parrish, and Grant Patrick, son of Scott Patrick and Angela Dooly; and junior maid Camryn Journagan, daughter of John and Stacie Journagan, escorted by Carson Sharp, son of Kelly and Lisa Sharp, and Xavier Staten, son of Misty Hawkins.

Carrying the queen's crown was Ella Garza-McElhannon, daughter of Mark McElhannon and Rebecca Garza. Carrying the King's Trophy was Tripp Johnson, son of Brad and Amber Johnson. Escorting the attendants were Kelsie Bowen, daughter of Jerry and Ashley Bowen and Angie Smith; and Shandreka McCullough, daughter of Bobbi Walker.

Next came king candidate Jack Danenhauer, son of Chris and Audrea Danenhauer, escorted by Kaylee Brown, daughter of Melissa Allen; king candidate Cade Fenton, son of Clay Fenton and Andrea Patterson, escorted by Nikki Drain, daughter of David and Deanne Drain; and king candidate Stone Taylor, son of John Taylor and Nichole Taylor, escorted by Briana Navarro, daughter of Isaac and Michelle Navarro.

Last in the parade of royalty were queen candidate Lindsey Anderson, daughter of Alvin Anderson and Jan Anderson, escorted by David Askegaard, son of John and Terri Askegaard, and Taylor Carbonel, son of German and Evalena Carbonel; queen candidate Ashley Burfitt, daughter of Adam and Leanne Burfitt, escorted by Jacob Gray, son of John and Karen Gray, and Conner Hill, son of Dale and Amy Hill; and queen candidate Claudia Oxford, daughter of Jeff and Ree Oxford, escorted by Kade Killion, son of Jason Killion and Laura Killion, and Peyton Maxwell, son of Bill and Heather Maxwell.

Crowning the king was Farmington High School Student Council president, Brooklyn Warren, daughter of Donnie and LaDonna Warren. Crowning the queen and presenting the queen's bouquet was the 2016 Color's Day queen, Alexei Green, daughter of Dawn Hill and Keven Whaling.

Stone Taylor was crowned king and Claudia Oxford was crowned queen.
