Zumba Classes
Farmington Senior Activity and Wellness Center will have Zumba classes, 3 p.m. Mondays and Fridays. Free for seniors over 60 and $5 per class for under 60. Geared for seniors who desire to stay active.
Back To School Bonanza
The Farmington Back to School Bonanza will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3 at Farmington United Methodist Church, 355 Southwinds Drive. The bonanza is free and open to students in kindergarten-12th grade. All are welcome but the child must be present. It provides tennis shoes, haircuts, socks and underwear, vision and dental screenings and kindergarten school physicals. New this year will be a pizza to go for each family.
LINCOLN
Back To School Bonanza
Lincoln Back to School Bonanza will be 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 8 at Lincoln Elementary cafeteria. The free event is open to children pre-K through seventh grade. The bonanza will provide shoes, socks, backpacks, haircuts, dental screenings, free ID cards from the Sheriff's Office. Children must be present with a parent or guardian to receive the services and items.
PRAIRIE GROVE
Civil War Day Camp
Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park will have a Civil War Day Camp on Thursday, July 27, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Ages 7-12 welcome. $10 per child. Registration is required. Call 846-2990 to register.
Back To School Event
Altrusa International of Washington County will sponsor a Back to School Readiness Event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 29 at Prairie Grove Elementary School. It is open to families in Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Farmington, Greenland and West Fork. Kids who attend will receive free backpack with supplies, free haircuts and free lunches. Other fun activities are planned.
