Kenneth Ralph Crawley

Kenneth Ralph Crawley, Age 71, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away June 2, 2017, in Fayetteville.

He was born June 18, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of John Ralph and Clara Mae Gregory Crawley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and half sister Ruth Mongold.

Survivors are wife Lela Mae Higginbotham Crawley; two sons John Frank Crawley and Junior Crawley; 4 step children Ronnnie, Michelle, Ritchie, and Allen; 5 grandchildren, and one great grandson; 2 sisters Sue Loker and husband and Linda Kirby and husband. Along with nieces Breanna, Peggy and Carl.

Kenneth spent most of his life as an auto mechanic, until health issues made it where he could no longer work. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Priscilla Grace Giezentanner

Priscilla Grace Giezentanner, 80, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born May 17, 1937, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to Robert M. and Dorothy Elizabeth Snider Lee.

She graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Education and spent 10 of her 25 years in education teaching for the Gravette School System. She was a member of the "Gabby Gals," a group of retired Gravette teachers. She was also a member of the P.E.O. and TOPS organizations. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Springdale, where she served as an Elder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Judd I. Giezentanner and her parents.

She is survived by two sons, Greg Giezentanner and wife Cilinda of Fayetteville, Ark., Lee Giezentanner and wife Kristin of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Amy Giezentanner Hardwick and husband Britt of Springdale; two sisters, Patricia Thielges of Nampa, Idaho, and Nancy Wickersham of Springdale; and four grandchildren, Allison, Andrew, Colette and Walden Giezentanner.

Memorial services were held Saturday, June 10, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church of Springdale with the Rev. Kade Curry officiating. Memorials may be made to Magdalene Serenity House, P.O. Jesse William Giles

Jesse William Giles, 98, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away June 6, 2017, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Prairie Grove, the son of Jess and Ruby Ann (Fleming) Giles.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a fireman in California after the service. After moving back to Arkansas he raised chickens and cattle on their farm. He was a charter member of the Prairie Grove Lions Club. He attended both the First United Methodist Church in Prairie Grove and the Viney Grove Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Lora Dean Giles, and his parents.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Roger and Carolyn Giles of Magnolia, Ark., and Donald and Emilie Giles of Leavenworth, Kan.; two granddaughters, Sara Smartt and her husband Jeremy of San Diego, Calif., and Lilly Giles of Magnolia; one great-grandson, William Thomas Smartt; his loving and faithful friend, Maxine Caudle.

Funeral Service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Viney Grove Methodist Church in Prairie Grove. Burial was in the Prairie Grove Cemetery and no graveside services were held.

Pallbearers were: Sam Tyree, Charles Hall, Wayne Hall, Terry Howerton, Buford Hand, Eugene Hamilton, Clifton Clark and Larry Bell.

Memorials may be made to the Viney Grove Methodist Church or the Prairie Grove Senior Center.

Bobby Gean Hattabaugh

Bobby Gean Hattabaugh, 60, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 9, 1957, in Mulberry, Ark., the son of Billy and Bessie Warford Hattabaugh.

He was an automobile mechanic and a former employee of the Used Oil Service Company.

He is survived by his wife, Sherrie Criss Hattabaugh of the home; his parents, Billy and Bessie Hattabaugh; a son, Logan Hattabaugh and fiancée, Brittany Hudson of Fayetteville; three daughters, Hannah Thompson and husband, Derek of Farmington, Ark., Misti Taylor and husband, Adam of Bethel Heights, Ark., and Melissa Mashburn and husband, Curtis of Elkins, Ark.; two sisters, Betty Walker and husband, Dennis of Springdale, Ark., and Brenda Nix and husband, Jerry of Elkins; and eight grandchildren, Derrick, Kaitlyn and Emily Mashburn, Mekenna, Myia and Madelyn Taylor, Ruger Thompson and Allison Hudson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Hazel Valley Church with the Reverend Jasper Hankins and Juan Hattabaugh officiating. Interment followed in the Hazel Valley Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.

Delbert Melvin Lee

Delbert Melvin Lee, 88, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, at his home. He was born June 24, 1928, in Gettysburg, S.D., the son of Frank and Florence (Meeks) Lee.

He served in the United States Army during World War II and Korea. He received two Purple Hearts from injuries sustained in Korea.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Glen Lee; and two sisters, Ardell Fountain and Allene Karlson

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Boyer Lee; one son, Darryl Lee and wife Katie of Fayetteville; two daughters, Patricia Hartman and husband Jeff of Prairie Grove and Lois Thomas of Fayetteville, Ark.; six grandchildren, Colin Olson, Kristen Olson, Rachael Cahill, Angela Ferguson, Tommy Thomas and Travis Lee; 11 great-grandchildren, Kassandra Schultz, Kimberly Jett, Derrick Schultz, Tracen Cahill, Angel Cahill, Mileena Olson, Aiden Olson, Bayleigh Lee, Barrett Lee, Brittany Polhemus and Savannah Polhemus; one great-great-grandchild, Pyper Jett.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Doris Ruth McDonner

Doris Ruth McDonner, 83, of Springdale, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at her home. She was born October 21, 1933, in Winslow to Walter Clay and Kizzie Pense Henson. Doris loved the Lord and attended Upper Smyrna Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed being with children and was a very strong woman.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Gayle Henson, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by six children, Vicki Doss of Fayetteville, William Henson and wife Sharon of Farmington, James McDonner of Alexandria, Virginia, Wally McDonner and wife Brenda of Farmington, Ronnie McDonner of Goodman, Missouri, Teddy McDonner of Springdale; two brothers, Hoyt Henson of Winslow, Walace "Pee Wee" Henson of Fayetteville; one sister, Carol Chapel of Fayetteville; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mabel Elizabeth Reisser Moore

Mabel Elizabeth Reisser Moore, 91, of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born April 7, 1926, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Volkert Albers Reisser.

She worked for Campbell Soup as a night secretary for many years. Each day she came home from her job and worked on the farm with her husband and three sons. She was a leader of Running Springs 4-H Club for many years. She enjoyed crafts with Moonlighters EHC, of which she was a charter member, as well as with her friends, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mabel was an avid crocheter, and made countless items for family, friends, Arkansas Children's Hospital, the VA Hospital, and county fair exhibits.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Glenn R. Moore; her parents; her brother, Ervin Reisser; and three sisters, Lillian Dick, Irene Cook, and Velma Deklotz.

She is survived by her three sons, Edward "Bud" Moore and wife Susan of Prairie Grove, Ark., Russell Moore and wife Debbie and Ralph Moore and wife Reba all of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Allen Moore and wife Cindy, Denise Sweat and husband Chris, Christina Beare and husband Shawn, Ryan Moore and wife Nicole, Martin Moore, Curtis Moore; and nine great-grandchildren, Cameron Harrison, Kipton Moore, Hudson Moore, Sara Sweat, Anna Sweat, Jaxon Beare, Averee Beare, Addison Beare, and Cole McClellan.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2017, at National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.

Pallbearers were Allen Moore, Ryan Moore, Martin Moore, Curtis Moore, Chris Sweat, and Shawn Beare.

The family wishes to thank the many skilled and compassionate people who cared for Mabel at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows and at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

Steven Leonard Stanley

Steven Leonard Stanley, 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 7, 2017. He was born March 19, 1956, in Soap Lake, Wash., to Mack and Lavonne Stanley.

He fell in love with classic muscle Mopars at an early age and remained a dedicated Mopar fan for life. He rebuilt and owned so many beautiful Mopars that are still in showrooms all over the United States.

He worked maintenance for the same company for 22 years in Costa Mesa, Calif., winning employee of the year numerous times. He retired 10 years ago due to a serious injury.

He recently returned home to Prairie Grove, settling on the family land.

He never married but had a daughter, Stephanie Pierce from New York, and a son, Jeffrey Holloway of Tennessee.

He is survived by three siblings, Debra Gray of Anaheim, Calif., Brenda Stanley of Polson Mont., and Mark Stanley of Quincy, Wash.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Following the funeral service a get together will be held from 3-6 p.m. at the Latta Barn in Prairie Grove Battlefield Park.

Fern Arlene Wendt

Fern Arlene Wendt, age 82, of Elkins, passed away Thursday June 8, 2017, in Fayetteville. She was born March 7, 1935, in Spencer, Neb., the daughter of Robert J. and Hattie Fern Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Top Wendt.

She worked as a psychiatric aide.

She is survived by her son Michael Wendt and his wife Judith of Farmington; two grandchildren Christine Nivens and her husband John of Hampton, Ark., and Jason Wendt and his wife Meagan of McKinney, Texas; and two great grandchildren John Paul and Kathryn Nivens.

A memorial service was Monday, June 12 at Moore's Chapel.
