Bethel Grove -- Bethel Grove Extension Homemakers were asked to go to Ester's House orphanage in Malawi, Africa, to teach sewing skills to five single mothers from different villages and the in-house seamstress. Two members agreed to go. Other members cut out patterns and made a "how-to" video. The club members volunteered 671 hours and with outside donations spent $5,100 on machines and supplies needed for the start of this program and air fare for two.

Serendipity 59ers Extension Homemakers Club -- The Springdale Public Schools Pre-K Program notified the club that they had 1,030 sheets for little cots that were wearing out. The Serendipity 59ers Extension Homemakers Club accepted the challenge. Members made 36 sheets and will make more.
