Civil War Archeology Program Set

Prairie Grove invites all to come get the dirt on Civil War Archeology at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park.

March is Arkansas Archeology Month and the park is celebrating with a special Civil War Archeology program during the week of spring break.

Dr. Jamie Brandon of Arkansas Archeological Survey will present "Civil War Archeology in Northwest Arkansas" at 4 p.m. March 25 in the park's amphitheater. The slide-show presentation will focus on recent digs conducted at Prairie Grove and Pea Ridge battlefields, as well as the Van Winkle site at Hobbs State Park. Admission and parking are free for this hour-long program.
