PRAIRIE GROVE -- A vehicle veering back and forth in its lane on U.S. Highway 62 resulted in felony drug charges against a Stilwell, Okla., woman, according to a Prairie Grove police report.

Lynn R. Christie, 38, was arrested May 10 in connection with felony possession of a Schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with the intent to deliver. She also is facing misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and driving left of center/right of road way.

According to the report, officer Warner Burgess was traveling west on U.S. Highway 62 when he saw the vehicle in front of him veering back and forth from the yellow to the white line and then observed it cross over the yellow line twice.

He stopped the vehicle, a black Honda Element, and found that Christie had a warrant out of Adair County, Okla. Burgess placed Christie in custody in his police vehicle and began an inventory of her vehicle. He then found drug paraphernalia, small plastic bags with a white crystal like substance, a digital scale, a plastic container with a green leafy resident that smelled of marijuana, a large number of small, clear plastic bags and a small scoping utensil.

Christie was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. According to the center's website, she is scheduled to appear in Washington County Circuit Court on the felony charges on June 9 and in Prairie Grove District Court on the traffic violation and misdemeanor drug charge on May 15.
