LINCOLN -- The second annual Fall Festival at Lincoln Elementary School was termed a huge success, as 650 parents, grandparents and children showed up for fun, food and many fall activities.

Everything was free for families.

"We were so excited about the turnout," Principal Jill Jackson said the next day.

Last year, the school sponsored five stations for kids to enjoy. This year, kids had 12 stations to keep them busy.

Fall Festival included a maze, hayride, petting zoo, fall photo booth, caramel apples, popcorn, hot dogs and drinks.

Children also could decorate halo oranges as jack-o-lanterns and could play in wooden boxes filled with corn kernels.

A bonfire blazed in one area. Here, every child was given a book on their grade level to take home to read.

Teachers and staff all were on hand to run the stations and greet students and their parents.
