Lovely Mornings To Enjoy

Quote: "By all these lovely tokens

September days are here,

With summers' best of weather

And autumn's best of cheer." H H Jackson

This morning was the best as far as I am concerned, north wind and 46 degrees at sun up.

In addition to the regular singing, several specials were enjoyed Sunday in the Sugar Hill Church. Three that I especially remember were "Touching Jesus," "I'll Be Listening," and "Until Then." The melody of "I'll Be Listening" has run through my mind all week. Our thanks to Roger and Phyllis Reed, Audra Hacker and Chris Rogers for this time of worship.

Recently there were some leaflets included in the newspaper, advertising a book titled Grapevine Swings and Hill Top Farms, a "living history of Arkansas Ozark Mountains," tales of days long gone.

I'm hoping there are more from this area who contributed to the publication. The only ones I know who did so are Jerry Leach, Carl Reeves and yours truly, Jerry being a winner for his part.

The books are available by mail, Visa, Master Card or Discover. Call toll free 877-491-8802. Deadline is Sept. 30, mention Code Number 104-06-C.

Ten members of the kitchen band enjoyed an hour of music and jokes Tuesday, but they sure did miss Jack Thompson, who was home with sinus trouble.

I have just received a call, that Anna Louise (Collins) Yother has passed away. She will be buried in Oklahoma beside her husband.

Happy birthday to Kelly McJunkin, Linda Freeman, Isaiah King, Gene Pharr, Mary Ann Lockhart, Barbara (Mrs. Bill) Griscom, Teresa Pershall, Pauletta Carlton, John Munyon, Pam Watson, Jennifer Cannon, Bill Morris, Jody Cheatham, Elaine Reed.

Happy anniversary to Rick and Raylene Reed.

Happy years, all!
