Pet Appreciation Week
Tractor Supply will accept donations of pet supplies for area shelters during the week, Sept. 13-17. Washington County Animal Shelter will be on site at Farmington Tractor Supply with adoptable animals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16. A local vet clinic also will be on site during the same time period that day.
Kiwanis Bowling Tournament
Farmington Area Kiwanis Club will sponsor its 3rd annual Bowling Tournament 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Ozark Lanes in Fayetteville. Cost is $60/team for four persons, $50 for a lane sponsorship or $100 for a four-person team and lane sponsorship. Youth Talent Contest
The Arkansas Apple Festival youth talent contest will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Entry forms are now available by emailing Russ Laycox at [email protected] or calling him or Rainy at 479-824-5495. You can also get the forms on the festival website at www.arapplefestival.org. There are two age divisions, 8-12 and 13-17. Entries are on a first come, first serve basis. There is no entry fee.

The Prairie Grove High School Report to Public will be presented in the high school café Tuesday, Sept 19, at 5 p.m.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Prairie Grove High School parent/teacher conferences will be held from 3:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19 and Thursday, Sept. 21.
WEDINGTON
Wedington Fire Breakfast
Wedington Volunteer Fire Department Country Breakfast will be 6-11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 23 at the department, located 5 miles from I-49 (Exit 64) on Highway 16 West. Cost is $6, adults; $2 Kids 6-12; under 6, free. Proceeds will be used to purchase fire-fighting equipment.
