April Showers Bring May Flowers

We finally received some good showers in March, with the March winds, and April started with a very dreary, wet, day, with more forecast. So, April showers are to bring May flowers, as we have already enjoyed.

"Just Thinking"

During those many rainy days,

With that rain getting in the way,

We heard amid foiled hopes and plans.

"There's got to be a better day."

When rain and hail was expected,

Fears of storm did some allay

With thoughts of sunny, clearing times,

"We'll wait for a better day."

Thinking of opposite circumstances,

There is one thing I can say.

"During prolonged drouths and heat waves,

A Rainy day is a Better day."

And April is Keep America beautiful month, lawn and garden, car care, home improvement, tackle your clutter, decorating, kite, straw hat, pecan, poetry, youth sports safety, mathematics education, physical wellness, stress awareness, injury prevention, cancer control, pest management, and humor and smile month.

April is also National Volunteer Month.
