LINCOLN

Baseball

Volunteers are needed. Lincoln High School baseball is looking for volunteers to help staff the upcoming District 4A-1 and 4A North Regional tournaments which the school will host in its last year in 4A. Changes made by the Arkansas Activities Association governing body mean Lincoln will rejoin the 3A-1 Conference for all sports except football beginning with the 2018-2019 school year.

According to Lincoln baseball coach Justin Bounds, athletic director Deon Birkes has a whole spreadsheet of positions to be filled as the Wolves play host to tournaments in consecutive weeks. The district tournament starts Wednesday, April 25, and goes through Saturday, April 28. Regional play begins Thursday, May 3, and continues through Saturday, May 5.

Bounds invites volunteers to come out and watch some good baseball and help the Wolves put on a pair of first class tournaments. Those interested should contact Birkes during school hours at 479-824-7460 or via email at [email protected].

Lincoln is also hosting the District 4A-1 softball and 4A North Regional softball tournaments on the same dates.
