National FFA Leaders Visit

In October at the National FFA Convention, the National FFA elects a new team of National Officers. They elect a President, Secretary and four regional Vice Presidents. Tyson Foods hosts the new team of leaders at its corporate office for a week of leadership training every December. The team splits up into two groups and they travel around NWA and meet with different FFA members and their school. We were lucky enough to host three national officers: president Breanna Holbert from California, secretary Erica Baier from Iowa, and Ian Bennett, Southern region vice president from Georgia. They spoke to our chapter about overcoming obstacles to be leaders and reaching the high goals we set for ourselves. They encouraged my fellow FFA members. The visit left all of our members with a new sense of motivation and drive to accomplish great feats. We couldn't have asked for more.
