Lucy Eulalia Auslam

Lucy Eulalia Auslam, 90, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Jan. 5, 2018, at Fayetteville Health & Rehab. She was born Dec. 12, 1927, in Watalula, Ark., the daughter of Stonewall Jackson 'Stoney' Crouch and Esther Ford Roberts. She went to be with the Lord after 5 years of battling Lewy-Body Dementia.

She was a USDA Poultry Inspector for 16 years. She loved plants, flowers, swimming, and dancing at the local senior centers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joe Crouch; two sisters, Naomi Kuykendall and Juanita Armstrong; and one daughter, Sharon Shepard.

Survivors include son, Randy Wright and wife Judy of Ozark, Ark.; daughter, Sandy Mounce and husband Daryl of Prairie Grove, Ark.; son-in-law, George Shepard of Sapulpa, Okla.; four brothers, Jack Crouch of Ozark, John Crouch of Ozark, Ed Crouch of Hagarville, Ark., and Roger Crouch of Ozark; sister, Nina Wilson of Ozark; two grandchildren, Mallory Mounce of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Justin Mounce and wife Katy of Lincoln, Ark.; and one great-grandson, Bentley Mounce of Lincoln.

Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the entire staff of Fayetteville Health and Rehab Facility. The care and love you provided over the past 5 years will never be forgotten. Ms. Lucy adored you all.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery and no graveside service was held.

Jimmy D. Delap

Jimmy D. Delap, 87, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born July 20, 1930, in Prairie Grove, the son of Clyde and Irene (Dodson) Delap.

He was a Navy Veteran and was proud to have served his country before and during the Korean War from 1948-1952. He volunteered at the Fayetteville National Cemetery more than 10 years, after major vandalism he received a special award for cleaning headstones.

He was preceded in death by parents.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Kathryne Bidwell Delap; son, Joe Delap and wife Melanie of Athens, Ala.; one daughter, Joann Jaynes and husband Randy of Prairie Grove; two grandchildren, Kennedy and Shelby Delap, both of Jacksonville, Ala.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday Jan. 5, 2018, in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.

Willard Vernon Gullick Jr.

Willard Vernon Gullick Jr., 71, of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at the Veteran's Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Poteau, Okla., the son of Willard Vernon and Bessie Opal (Marler) Gullick.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as part of "The Big Red One."

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Dorothy Perez, Edna Kelsay and Freda Epperson.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sharon Smith Gullick; one son, Vernon Gullick III; one daughter, Teresa Taylor; four grandchildren, Patrick Taylor, Zach Taylor, Katlynn Taylor and Randon Vaughn; three brothers, William Gullick, John Gullick, and David Gullick; and one sister, Jean Holland.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial was in the Lincoln Cemetery and no graveside service was held.

Benjamin Tyler Slocum

Benjamin Tyler Slocum, 77, of Prairie Grove, Ark., died Dec. 28, 2017. He was born Feb. 20, 1940, in Englewood, Colo., the son of Benjamin Lee and Elwelda Beryl Slocum.

Survivors include his wife, Joann, of the home; son, Jeffrey Tyler Slocum and wife Tawana of Prairie Grove; one sister, Rose Marie Tjepkes of Colorado; and two nephews, Bret Compton and Cole Tjepkes, of Colorado.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Dorothy 'Cissie' Kalb Snyder

Dorothy "Cissie" Kalb Snyder passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at the Willard Walker Hospice home in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born July 23, 1922.

She was best known as a WAVE during World War II and remained a member of WAVES National organization. She played a mean game of Yahtzee and couldn't get enough shopping. She loved to sew and crochet and her favorite colors were orchid and yellow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rae "Jerry" Spencer Snyder; her sons, Spencer and Buddy; and one daughter, Cheryl.

She is survived by one son, Jerry, and his wife, Sue, of Kearney, Mo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at North Little Rock.

Beth Pickering Wynne

Beth Pickering Wynne, 81, of West Fork, Ark., passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, in her home surrounded by family. She was born July 31, 1936, in County Line, Okla., the daughter of Arch Clayton and Beulah Mae (Greer) Pickering.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, James Evans.

Survivors include two sons, George Evans and wife Sharon of Park Forest, Ill., and Clyde Wynne of Prairie Grove, Ark.; three daughters, Debbie Preston and husband Troy of West Fork, Leona Evans of Lindsborg, Kan., and Bonnie Liggett and husband Jeremiah of McPherson, Kan.; one sister, Clellie DeBoard of Strickler; 11 grandchildren, Julie, Kelly, Bobby, Tracie, Angeleena, Laura, Sherry, Andrew, Morgan, Dakota and Kylee; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service was held 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial was in the Bugscuffle Cemetery andno graveside services were held.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or your local humane society.
