Katherine Elizabeth Burnett

Katherine Elizabeth Burnett, 95, of Altus, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was born March 1, 1922, in Dutton, Ark., the daughter of Robert and Annie Howard Burnett. She was a retired employee of Anchor Hocking Glassware.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Norman R. Burnett; and three brothers, Merle, Bill and James Burnett.

She is survived by a son, Jim Burnett and his wife Shirley of Altus; two sisters, Virginia Harp of Farmington, Ark., and Betty Duffy of Farmington; a daughter-in-law, Donna Burnett; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was held Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Marge Lankford

Marge Lankford, 69, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away on Jan. 20, 2018, at her residence.

She was born March 31, 1948, in Prairie Grove to Buril G. Lankford and Edna (Wright) Lankford. She was a very loving person with an incredibly big heart. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She also had a special place in her heart for animals. She loved spending time fishing and bowling with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buril and Edna Lankford; a brother, Bill Lankford; a brother, Leroy Lankford; a sister, Donna Bailey; a sister, Saundra Lankford; and a sister, LaVaughn Hammond.

She is survived by her sister, Pat Gideon; many nieces and nephews and great-nephews. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark., with the Reverend Paul Payne officiating. Burial followed in Weddington Cemetery in Wedington, Ark.

Gerald Bruce Lunsford

Gerald Bruce Lunsford, 75, passed Jan. 24, 2018, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born Aug. 3, 1942, in Westville, Okla., the son of Bruce and Rosa Lee Lunsford. He began his life in Arkansas when the family moved to Bentonville, Ark., and then settled in Fayetteville four years later. The family joined Central Methodist Church. He attended Washington Elementary School and was a 1960 Fayetteville High School graduate. He played for the 1957 undefeated football team and embraced Fayetteville's public schools' integration. He began his mastery of carpentry and woodworking by working with and learning from his dad. He was a part of the construction crew that built the Mountain Inn across from the Washington County courthouse. He joined the Marine Corps in 1960 but in less than six months received an honorable discharge after an accident from faulty explosives caused deafness in his left ear.

He returned to Fayetteville where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Arkansas. His incredible life experiences continued when he moved to Washington, D.C., in the 1960s where he joined the Capitol Hill police force. He tried out for the Washington Redskins football team and earned membership but did not join and instead came back to Fayetteville to support family. His life path then included being an art teacher at Woodland Junior High School and even running the horse-riding concession at Devil's Den State Park for a summer. He then opened his woodworking shop in a bay at the Schlitz beer distributorship but soon established his shop in the old Fayetteville Lumber Company yard behind the store fronts in the Dickson Street entertainment district.

He married Marty Jones, fathered and raised three sons, Jason, Quentin and Allan. He continued carpentry, woodworking and substitute teaching until he received the call to go into ministry. He did more in his 75 years than most would do in a hundred. He was a popular and well-loved man and will be sorely missed.

He organized and traveled on several mission trips in South America, Africa and Russia. He became pastor of visitation at Central United Methodist Church. He pastored several Methodist churches in Northwest Arkansas, including St. James and Wiggins in Fayetteville and congregations at Rheas Mill, Winslow, Lincoln and Morrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and RosaLee Lunsford; and two brothers, Porter and David Lunsford.

He is survived by his wife, Marty; his three sons, Jason, Quentin and Allan; five grandchildren; his sister, Barbara Pryor; and his brother, Scott Lunsford.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Larry Gene McFatrich Sr.

Larry Gene McFatrich Sr., 72, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at his son's home in Farmington, Ark.

He was born Nov. 20, 1945, in Sedalia, Mo., the son of Honce Manual and Ethel Loreane (Moon) McFatrich. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was a platoon leader for Company A of the 4th Infantry. Following his service in Vietnam he returned stateside to be a drill instructor in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was a dedicated family man, raising two young boys on his own and adopting his daughter from a previous marriage. He had a strong work ethic and demonstrated long-term commitment to his jobs at the railroad and Danaher Tools. He demonstrated strong commitment to his church including monetary donations. He was involved in numerous clubs related to his hobbies such as PGCC Motorcycle Ministry and various veterans associations.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two sons, Larry McFatrich and wife Shawna of Farmington and Chris McFatrich and wife Britni of Prairie Grove; one daughter, Nichole Tennant of California; an adopted son, Daniel Botello of Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Jim McFatrich and wife Wilda of Farmington, Don McFatrich and wife Barbara of Heber Springs, Ark., and Bob McFatrich and wife Judy of Buckner, Mo.; six grandchildren, Aiden Matthew, Emerie Kate, Cloey Christine, Brooklynn Don, and Brandon Lee and one great-grandchild.

Memorial service was held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Prairie Grove Christian Church.

Jimmie Odell McKnight

Jimmie Odell McKnight, 62, of Rogers, Ark., departed this life and passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Jan. 20, 2018, while surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Oct. 28, 1955, in Tulsa, Okla., to Odell and Shirley McKnight. He worked for McClinton Anchor Inc. from 1973-2005 as the Blast Quarry Supervisor for 32 years. He retired from McClinton Anchor and joined Buckley Powder from 2005-2012 as an explosive driver. He supervised and coordinated the blast of 175,000 tons of aggregate while managing 50 employees with his father, Odell. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching endless hours of car auctions, working on his vehicles, boating on Beaver Lake and exaggerating about how many fish he caught. He devoted his life to his family and his two beloved dogs, Biscuit and Buddy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pam McKnight of Rogers; his parents, Odell and Shirley McKnight of Fayetteville, Ark.; his children, Melisa (Paul) Williams of Farmington, Ark., Sandy (Scott) Cassiday of Fayetteville, and Nicholas McKnight of California; his sister, Cheryl (Brian) Pemberton of Missouri; his stepchildren, Amanda (James) Bassham of Springdale, Ark., Wesley Lightfoot of Springdale, Kayla (Jared) Lasch of MissourI, Gary Carpenter of Little Rock, Ark.; and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Sycamore Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Burial followed at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville.

Edythe Irene Parker Miller

Edythe Irene Parker Miller, 89, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018.

She was born Jan. 2, 1929, in Hayward, Okla., the daughter of Eliseph Isaac and Edythe S. Hougland Parker. She was a member of Genesis Church (formerly Wiggins Memorial United Methodist Church), the Baptist Ford Extension Club where she was a lifetime member and the Busy Bees Home Demonstration Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Arthur Thomas Miller Jr.; a son, Charles Arthur Miller; two brothers, George Parker and Roscoe Parker; a sister, Arabelle Helen Parker; and two grandchildren, Robert Swanson Jr. and Joshua Bo Swanson.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Elaine Swanson and husband Robert of West Fork, Ark.; two sons, Samuel Wayne Miller and wife Cheryl of Farmington, Ark., and James Edward Miller and wife Beth of Fayetteville; a brother, Wayne A. Parker of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Margaret Bandy, Tracy Swanson, Lisa Stafford, Michael Swanson, Miranda Miller Tipton, Amber Miller, Jordan Miller, Morgan Miller and Mason Miller; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Genesis Church in Fayetteville followed by burial at Miller Cemetery in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Ralph 'Buster' Edward Sidebottom

Ralph "Buster" Edward Sidebottom, 66, of Welling, Okla., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in Tulsa, Okla.

He was born Feb. 3, 1951, in Evansville, Ark., the son of J.W. and Elsie Everett Sidebottom. He was a Fireman and First Responder for the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department where he retired as Deputy Chief. He was an avid fisherman and a member of numerous fishing clubs. He owned and operated C&R Marine in Farmington before relocating to Welling. He enjoyed being with his family and the outdoors. He was very proud of his 66 Mustang, Ms. Betsy, that he spent so many hours restoring her. He was passionate about being a good father, grandfather, great-grandfather and role model to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy Dale Sidebottom and Rex Sidebottom; one sister, Reda Faye Fimple; and one grandson, Alex Joseph Wood.

Survivors include his wife, GaNyn Sidebottom; one daughter, Lorie Todd and husband Wade of Ash Flat, Ark.; three sons, Terry Wood of Virginia Beach, Va., Justin Wood of Fayetteville, Ark., and Nathan Wood and his fiancée, Ashley also of Fayetteville; five brothers, Bo Sidebottom and wife Diane of Cherry Tree, Okla., Robert Sidebottom and wife Patricia of Nicut, Okla., Ron Sidebottom and wife Julie of West Fork, Ark., Rick Sidebottom and fiancée, Rita of Stilwell, Okla., and Raymond Todd Sidebottom also of Stilwell; two sisters, Reva Jean Dwyer and husband Fred of Lead Hill, Ark., and Ruby Workman and husband Roger of Stilwell; six grandchildren, Blake Todd and wife Amber, Chandler Todd, Jackson Cole Wood, Faith Evonne Wood, Bryson Asher Wood and Kaelen Irene Mills; two great-grandchildren, Clarissa Mae Todd and Kaydence Grace Todd; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Genese Ann Stufflebeam, 41, died Jan. 19, 2018, in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born Dec. 17, 1976, in Springfield, Mo.

She is survived by Christine Kenzie, Paul Stufflebeam Jr., Paul Stufflebeam III, Sharon Stufflebeam, Rebel Stufflebeam, Remington Colt Stufflebeam, Bo Duke Stufflebeam and Devin Kenzie.
