Harold Flippin

Harold Flippin, 66, of Lincoln, Ark., died June 25, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark.

He is survived by his loving companion of 18 years, Deb Cain; two daughters, Brittany, Brookelynn; two brothers, James (Julia), Kelton; and a host of loving friends.

Graveside service was held at Lotville Cemetery, Canton, Miss., on Monday, July 2.

Ruth Holmes

Ruth Holmes, 62, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away on June 26, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Belton, Texas, to Woodson and Wilma Boatright.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Holmes; and her son, Ben Baylor.

Jason Clay Hulse

Jason Clay Hulse, 38, of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, in Tontitown, Ark.

He was born July 29, 1979, in Fairbanks, Alaska, the son of Jim and Janet (Ramey) Hulse.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Henry Ramey and Hugh and Lucille Williams.

Survivors include his two children, Michael Lindsey and Lillie Lindsey both of Springdale, Ark.; his father, Jim Hulse of West Fork, Ark.; his mother Janet Hammer and husband James of Greenland, Ark.; his fiancée, Deanna King of Siloam Springs; one brother, Jimmy Hulse of West Fork; his grandparents, Mary and Henry Ramey of Strickler, Ark., and Hugh and Lucille Williams of Summers, Ark.; one nephew, Dylon Hulse of Greeland; and two nieces, Delaney Hulse of Springfield, Mo., and Denver Hulse of Greenland.

Funeral service was held Monday, July 2, 2018, at Summers Cemetery in Summers.

Shirley Ann London

Shirley Ann London, 72, of Prairie Grove, Ark., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 2, 2018.

She was born Oct. 23, 1945, in Prairie Grove, the daughter of Nealy Austin and Gertie Belle (Phillips) Jones. She retired from the Arkansas Rehabilitation Services in Fayetteville where she was a dedicated secretary for 30 years. She loved singing and using her talent for the Lord with the Glen Faulkner Singers and her church family. She was a member of the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church in Prairie Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Laverne Crisp.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Vernon London; two daughters, Deanna Spears and husband Danny of Van Buren, Ark., and Melinda London of Prairie Grove; one sister, Maxine Lossing of Centerton, Ark.; two grandchildren, Garrett and Allison Spears.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Howell Cemetery in Hogeye, Ark., there will be no graveside service held.

Priscilla Charlene 'Char' (Mobley) Shumate

Priscilla Charlene "Char" (Mobley) Shumate, 80, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed from this life on June 24, 2018, at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab.

She was born in Prairie Grove on Jan. 11, 1938, to Charles and Alma (Harden) Mobley. She was a member of the Prairie Grove Christian Church. She graduated from Prairie Grove High School in 1955 and attended Draughons Business College in Springfield, Mo. She worked for Preferred Risk Insurance in Tulsa, Okla., for 26 years. She worked in billing for Polar Express Trucking Company and retired from Highlands Oncology in Fayetteville, where she worked in medical coding. She married James Warren Shumate on May 30, 1958.

She was preceded her in death by her husband on April 21, 1992; her parents; and a baby brother, Tommy.

She is survived by one brother, Jerry Mobley and wife Betty of Webb City, Mo.; two nieces, Terri Hennis and husband Randy, Nikki Lawhon and husband David, both of Carthage, Mo.; one great-nephew, Justin Pavy and wife Melissa of Carthage; two great-nieces, Alisha Bryant and husband Adam of Oviedo, Fla., and Kaitlyn Lawhon of Carthage; three great- great-nephews, Lincoln, Lex, and Ranger Bryant of Oviedo; and one great-great-niece, Iyla Pavy of Carthage.

Memorial services will be held at the Prairie Grove Christian Church at 1 p.m. on July 6, 2018, with Minister Monte Shoemake officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter in her memory.

Ottie Mae Yates

Ottie Mae Yates, 90, of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was born May 3, 1928, in Pea Ridge, Ark., the daughter of Francis Marion and Gertrude (Engles) Martin. He was well-traveled both in the U.S. and abroad, having been stationed in Guam with her husband Arthur. She lived in Lincoln for over 50 years where she was very involved with her Church of Christ family. She was a hard-working woman. She had owned several business, was employed at the Bank of Lincoln, Empire Gas and EOA where she retired. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very loved Mother and Grandma, all the children loved spending days at grandma's house.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Arthur Yates, three brothers, and three sisters.

She is survived by her children, Kenny Yates and wife Denise of Fayetteville, Mike Yates and wife Shari of Hope, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Goldsbrough; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the Luginbuel Chapel. Burial was in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville and no graveside service was held.
