Judy Ruth Barnes

Judy Ruth Barnes, 71, of Evansville, Ark., passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was born April 6, 1947, in Lincoln, Ark., the daughter of "L.D." and Jadine (Smith) Price. She was a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of the Sunday night Mixed League Bowlers for 25 years. She retired from Campbell Soup with 32 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; grandson, Brandon Price; great-grandson, Racin Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Harold J. Barnes; one son, Carry Price and wife Jackie; one brother, Jim Price; one sister, Velma Emberton all of Evansville; four grandchildren, Kelli Jo, Brandi, Justin Wayne and Landon Harold; six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Monday, July 9, 2018, at Elm Grove Baptist Church in Stilwell, Okla. Burial was in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Stilwell and no graveside service was held.

Andrew Doman

Andrew Doman, 33, died June 22, 2018. He was born on March 5, 1985, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital to Ronald Doman and Cassandra Smith.

He graduated from Farmington High School in 2004. He honorably served in the United States Air Force from 2008 to 2013. At the time of his death, he was a vibrant entrepreneur, successful businessman, and world-traveler. He lived an immense life in his 33 years on this earth. Andrew wholeheartedly understood what it meant to be alive: to live life to the fullest, follow your dreams, and to be a friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Doman

He is survived by his mother, Cassandra and Dal Smith; his sister, Savannah White; numerous family members; and his rescue dog, Drogo.

Robert Lee Hall

Robert Lee Hall, 97, of Hogeye, Ark., passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Senath, Mo., to Robert Edgar and Martha Hall.

He was a Second Lieutenant in World War II, flying 35 missions over Europe as bombardier of a B-17 Flying Fortress. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and an Oak Leaf Cluster for displaying courage, coolness, and skill.

He was a graduate of Arkansas State University and Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.

He taught 36 years, 22 of those years in the Fayetteville High School English Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Juanita Swindle Hall; two brothers; and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie; one daughter, Katie Young and husband Joe of Hogeye; two sons, Lee Hall and wife Susan of Hogeye, and Dr. Roger Leung of Alexandria, Va.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 until 8 p.m. Wednesday night, July 11, 2018, at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

An additional Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Methodist Church in Senath.

Bennie Patrick, 70, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away on June 29, 2018. He was born on Nov. 12, 1947, in Knox County, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Bonnie Patrick.

He is survived by his children, William Patrick of Fayetteville, Ark., Odessa Smith of Prairie Grove, Pauline Patrick of Fayetteville, Ark., Thomas Cook of Michigan, James Cook of California, Christopher Cook of Dermott, Ark., Roy Cook of Lincoln, Ark., Mike Cook of Tahlequah, Okla., Brooklynne Patrick of Lincoln; and three siblings, Goldie Patrick of California, Girlie Patrick of California and Frances Patrick of Michigan.

Loretta Gail Sparks

Loretta Gail Sparks, 79, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, in Hot Springs, Ark. She was born May 5, 1939, in Prairie Grove, the daughter of Wallace Carl and Edna Verban (Deaton) Bartholomew.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Jackie Sparks; one daughter, Carlita Dalton and husband Garland; two grandsons, Devin Dalton and wife Jeanette and Lane Dalton; two brothers, Tommy Bartholomew and Brenda Howe and Carlis Bartholomew and, wife Annette; one sister, Kathleen Cates and husband Gene.

Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at New Life Covenant Church in Prairie Grove, with burial in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. No graveside service was held.

Gail Sears True

Gail Norene (Sears) True passed away on July 5, 2018.

She was born March 25, 1950, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Charles Eugene Sears and Icephine (Loftin) Sears, and made her home in Washington and Oregon until moving to Northwest Arkansas in 1964. As a child in Oregon, she was a well-known child pianist, the recipient of numerous awards by the Music Teacher's Guild of America and the University of Oregon. She was an Honor Graduate of Prairie Grove High School (Ark.) in 1968, the recipient of many awards and scholarships in a variety of fields.

Born with several major birth defects involving her heart, lungs, and trachea, she miraculously lived to become a senior citizen and gave birth to four children along the way.

She attended the University of Arkansas working on dual majors in English/Journalism, before taking a working sabbatical to marry and start a family. She later resumed her studies and graduated in December of 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and minors in Real Estate & Finance. She started her own tax preparation business, and after passing the CPA exam, she continued her self-employment, expanding her services to a full range of accounting and tax preparation services. She derived much satisfaction from serving her clients, and was a faithful and trusted advisor to a very loyal clientele throughout Northwest Arkansas for over 30 years.

She was a seven-year member of the Farmington Planning Commission and ran unopposed to serve on the Farmington City Council.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Eugene Sears and her older brother, Larry Sears.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John David True of the home; her mother, Icephine Sears of Fayetteville, Ark.; a younger brother and sister, Kevin Sears and wife Danita and Linda Charlene Sears all of Fayetteville, Ark.; her four children, Sam Biswell and wife Leora of Farmington, Ark., Master Chief Travis Biswell and wife Renee of the U.S. Navy stationed in Seattle, Wash., Rebecca Chapman and husband Mike of Springdale, Ark.; Logan Biswell and wife Jessica of Fayetteville; four step-children, Dr. David True Springfield, Mo., Jennifer Russow of Bentonville, Ark.; Angela Grimmett of Nixa, Mo.; and Melanie True Nix of Wake Forrest, N.C.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and eight step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday July 13, 2018, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14 at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville.
