Campbell Ivan Vishnyakov Allen

Campbell Ivan Vishnyakov Allen, 25, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. He was born on March 29, 1993, in Cherepovets, Russia, and adopted into love by Doug Allen and Shandria Brown.

He had more endearing qualities than could be captured in one place. He possessed a true sparkle in his eye. He had a huge heart and a gift for working with children. He spent many years attending Sandborn Western Camp as a student himself and then went on to become a junior counselor. He became known as the "storyteller" while participating in the Prairie Grove High School band.

He was an animal lover and had a special love of horses. He loved all things music and art. Campbell loved Colorado including snow skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer.

He is survived by his father, Doug Allen and fiancée Michelle Thompson of Fayetteville, Ark.; his mother, Shandy Brown and Nick Roye of England, Ark.; his brother, Landon Allen of Fayetteville; his sister, Elena Allen of Fayetteville; his paternal grandparents, Pete and Pat Allen of Siloam Springs, Ark.; his maternal grandmother, Linda Brown of Springdale, Ark.; his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Doris Brown of Springdale; and numerous family and friends.

Marianne Bland

Marianne Bland, 86, of Gentry, Ark., died on June 2, 2018, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital in Siloam Springs, Ark.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1931, in Depew, Okla., to Robert Elijah Rogers and Beulah Ophelia Moore Rogers. She married Glenn Bland and they had five children together. She was an elementary school teacher for 22 years with the Decatur School District. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, The Order of the Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls, and Senior Democrats. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jesse Bland; and five siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Moore and husband Russell of Lincoln, Ark., and Jeanne Ann Whitmire Kamm and husband Kent of Van Buren, Ark.; three sons, Jim Bland and wife Cara of McAlester, Okla., John Bland and wife Barbara of Siloam Springs, and Jeff Bland and wife Leslie of Siloam Springs; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, with Pastor Tim Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Blagg Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

William Alton "Buck" Bowen

William Alton "Buck" Bowen, 85, of Farmington, Ark., passed away on June 2, 2018.

He was born in Kingston, Ark., on Feb. 23, 1933, to Millage Houston and Velma Marie (Oxford) Bowen. He had one job for his entire life, starting at Swanson and staying with them through their transition to Campbell's Soup. He and his wife Nellie have been members of the Farmington Church of Christ since about 1955. He was a long-time member of the Kings River Riding Club. In 2002 he was awarded the Honorary Advisor Award from the Farmington FFA for helping students with their projects. He volunteered a lot of his time at the Farmington softball fields helping to keep up the fields and helping the teams any way that he could. He drove a church bus for many years, hauling kids to church services and VBS. He loved to hunt and fish, and he loved camping with his family. He was a loving husband to Nellie for 63 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Brenda Gale Bowen; brothers, Omer Bowen and Paul Eugene Bowen; and his sisters, Colene Tate and Linda Fitzner.

He is survived by his loving wife Nellie of Farmington; his two daughters, Alta Davis and her husband Greg of Farmington and Martha Reed of Prairie Grove, Ark.; grandchildren, Brandy Carte and husband Ricky of Prairie Grove, Cody Meadors and his wife Carol of Seligman, Mo., Ashley Thomas and husband Andrew of Farmington, Maegan Shreve and husband Bobby of Farmington, Jessie Parker and husband Bryce of Farmington, Hali Meadors and her fiancé Cody Templeton of Lincoln, Ark., Shane Davis of Farmington; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leonard Bowen and Jimmy Dale Bowen; sisters, Juanita Madewell, Ina Ross, and Wanda Smith; and many other friends and loved ones.

A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Farmington Church of Christ. Graveside service will be at Kingston Cemetery in Kingston at 11:30 a.m.

Ruby Sophia Easter

Ruby Sophia Easter, infant daughter of Rickey and Malea (Lamproe) Easter, passed away May 25, 2018.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jayden Easter.

Survivors include her parents, Rickey and Malea Easter; grandparents, Rick and Patty Easter and Randy and Karon Lamproe; five brothers and sisters, Emily, Rockey, Katrina, Jaydah, Brinleigh and Brayden Easter.

Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial was in the Dutch Mills Cemetery, and no graveside services were held.

Carolyn Flora Griffin

Carolyn Flora Griffin, 89, of Evansville, Ark., passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018.

She was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Wolcott, N.Y., the daughter of Thorn and Iva Robertson Howland. She married J.H. Griffin on June 27, 1947, and later moved to Evansville in 1951. She was a member of the Evansville Church. She attended Quilting at Evansville and volunteered at Grace Place in Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.H. Griffin; son, Jason Griffin; grandson, Michael Seward; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include four children, Cindy Seward of Dutch Mills, Ark., Joseph H Griffin III and wife Carol of Richmond Hill, Ga., Thorne Griffin and wife Belva of Evansville, and Jan Wilhite and husband Roger of Stilwell, Okla.; one brother, Lowell Howland of Stilwell; nine grandchildren, Sean Seward, Jolene, Joyce and Joseph IV Griffin, Jeffrey Griffin, Teresa Walters, Nathon Griffin, Chereen Akin and Nikita Hummingbird; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a..m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at the Evansville Community Church with burial in the Academy Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held.

Carolyn Miller

Carolyn Miller, 74, passed away on May 31, 2018.

She was born in Prairie Grove, Ark., on April 8,1944. She married her high school sweetheart, Ronnie, on May 26, 1962. She had two children, Ronnie Dale and Chandra that she loved with all her heart and soul. She was a member of Genesis Church in Fayetteville, Ark., where she was called to serve the homeless in the community. She worked at Eason and Co. Insurance in Fayetteville, Moss Insurance Agency in Siloam Springs and on the 100-acre family farm in Cincinnati, Ark.

She was a wonderful artist, whether drawing, painting, sewing, crafting or on the canvas of her flower garden. She was proud to be a Master Gardener. Gardening, whether vegetables or flowers, was her passion. Through the Master Gardener program, she made many wonderful friends. She loved to be outside. She enjoyed sitting on the porch or on her favorite bench in her flower garden with a glass of iced tea or coffee while watching and listening to the birds. She was a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who gave everyone in her life unconditional love and support.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Day; her grandmother, Altha Crawley; and her grandfather, Arley Brooks.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Miller; mother, Irene Day; sisters, Sharon Lewis and Willene Strickland; brother, Donnie Day; son, Ronnie Dale Miller; daughter, Chandra Miller-Starks; son-in-law Aaron Starks; two grandchildren, whom she loved so very, very much, Cora and Alden Starks; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial was in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville. No graveside service held.

Friends and family are invited to reminisce about Carolyn after the service at her mother, Irene Day's house at 701 E. Parks St. in Prairie Grove.

Clyde "Chuck" Wood II

Clyde "Chuck" Howard Wood II, 66, of Lincoln, Ark., passed from this life on May 29, 2018, in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born Dec. 7, 1951, in Ft. Bragg, N.C., to Clyde and Peggy Wood. He was retired from the United States Air Force. He was the former City Manager of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce (Fulfer) Wood; his daughters, Heather Hardcastle (Alan), Andrea Brown (Daniel), Laura Wood (Eric Smith); his siblings, John Wood, Beth Capehart, and Jorge Wood; his grandchildren, Lexie, Trey, Reece, Brooklyn, Nate, Jackson, Cameron, Aiden, Caleb, and Cole; and a great-grandson, Liam.
