Praise For Lincoln's Baseball Team

Wednesday, May 16, 2018

The gospel concert in the Lincoln elementary school was a huge success, with proceeds divided equally between the Lincoln Senior Center and the Lincoln Senior boys baseball team. Senior Center director Joanna Stricker had only the highest praise for the ball team members. They had made the programs for the event, and that evening they greeted the guests, took up the money, served refreshments, and later, cleaned up the building, parking lot, and the restrooms.

Our thanks to the boys, and thanks and congratulations to coach Bounds, and the boy's parents, for the excellent job you have done, in forming these youngsters into the fine gentlemen they seem to be.

Our proud congratulations also to the Lincoln School Chess club for winning in their competition, and may you continue to win.

Folks, these are such good examples of what we wish for our next generations. We're proud.

Coming up -- a dance is planned for this Saturday, May 19, in the Lincoln Senior Center, from 6 to 8 p.m. This is a chance for an evening of fun, and helping the center.

On Monday, May 21, our Attorney General is to visit the Senior Center with some help on preventing scams, and on cleaning out old prescription medicines, this at 12:15 p.m.

Note: This month's recipe exchange will meet Monday, May 21, instead of the second Monday.

On the 3rd Sunday, decorations will be in Academy, Bugscuffle, Cemetery Hill, Cox, Dutch Mills, Eighty-Six, Garret Creek, Howell, Illinois Chapel, Lewis, Lincoln, Sharp, Wickwire.
