Peggy Carrick

Peggy Carrick, 79, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018. She was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Fayetteville to Sherman and Muriel Lyons Caughman.

She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Springdale. She loved to sing about Jesus. She sang on a radio show on Sunday's when she was a young teenager. She also traveled with two other ladies and sang in a trio from Hope Tabernacle in San Jose, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olan Carrick; and her parents.

She is survived by three daughters, Cathy Padgett and her husband Bill of Springdale, Ark., Tami Hopper and her husband Steve of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Merri Wilson and her husband Tim of Baldwin, Mo.; one brother, Loy Caughman of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow in Baptist Ford Cemetery.

Denton Harold Holden

Denton Harold Holden, 92, of Cane Hill, Ark., went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at his home.

He was born July 6, 1926, in Zillah, Wash., the son of Macy Herbert and Ila Fay (Cox) Holden.

He served in the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Jean Holden; his parents; one grandson, Clayton Holden; and two brothers, Eugene Holden and Dennis Holden.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Reba Spinks Holden; two sons, Denton Holden Jr. and wife Barbara of Cane Hill and Perry Holden and wife Donna of Lincoln, Ark.; one daughter, Donna Kirk and husband John of Cane Hill; one sister, Margaret Loftin also of Cane Hill; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at Clyde Community Church.

Memorials may be made to the Cox Cemetery or Circle of Life Hospice.
