LINCOLN -- Lincoln (0-5, 0-4 3A-1 West) is still looking for its first volleyball win as a member of the 3A-1 West revamped for 2018.
The Lady Wolves went to Waldron Thursday, but were turned back in a 3A-1 West match, 25-11, 25-13, 25-18. Charleston defeated Lincoln in conference play, 25-9, 25-10, 25-19, last Tuesday, Sept. 4. The Lady Wolves suffered a 3-0 conference loss at Mansfield Tuesday, Aug. 28, on the heels of a 3-0 nonconference home loss to Prairie Grove in the season-opener. Mansfield beat Lincoln 25-9, 25-7, and 25-15. Booneville handed Lincoln a second conference loss, 25-19, 25-9, 25-10, on Thursday, Aug. 30.
Perennial volleyball power Paris (11-1, 3-0 3A-1 West) leads the league with impressive nonconference early season victories over 6A Russellville; 5A West Huntsville; plus 4A schools Farmington, Mena, Pea Ridge and Prairie Grove. The Lady Eagles' only loss came in tournament play against Alma (5A West) on Aug. 25.
