Early Voting Starts Oct. 22 For General Election, Issues Still Iffy

COURTS, LAWSUITS COULD DERAIL AMENDMENT VOTE ON TORT REFORM, CASINOS

While it may seem to change day to day on whether these five Constitutional amendments will survive legal challenges to be on the upcoming Nov. 6 General Election ballot, the Washington County Election Commission has set the locations for Early Voting Centers.

Early in-person voting begins at the start of business on Monday, Oct. 22, and ends at the end of business of Monday, Nov. 5.

The November General Election Polls open at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 and close at 7:30 p.m. that evening.

Washington County's Election Commission has released the list of Early, In-Person voting centers.

These voting centers are open and if you are a registered voter anywhere in Washington County you may cast your vote at any of these centers regardless of whether it is near your traditional polling place or not.

Most are open all day Monday - Friday, and some on Saturday mornings, however, please check your preferred location for exact times by day before heading out. These centers, dates and times are:

• Washington County Courthouse - County Clerk's Office 3rd floor, 280 North College Ave., Fayetteville, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov. 2. This office will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Oct. 27 and Saturday, Nov. 3. This office will also be open 8-5 on Monday Nov. 5.

• Washington County Quorum Courtroom, Main Floor off parking deck, 280 North College Ave., Fayetteville, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov. 2. This office will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, and Saturday, Nov. 3. This office will also be open 8-5 on Monday Nov. 5.

• Boys & Girls Club - 560 North Rupple Road, Fayetteville, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov. 2. Closed on Saturdays Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 and Monday Nov. 5.

• Elkins Community Center - 162 Doolin Drive, Elkins, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov. 2. This office will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Oct. 27. Center will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 3 and Monday, Nov. 5 .

• Grace Point Church - 7325 Meeshow Street, Springdale, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov.2. This office will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Nov. 3. This site will be closed Monday Nov. 5.

• Medical Arts Pharmacy - 2515 East Huntsville, Fayetteville, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov. 2. This site will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3rd, and also on Monday Nov. 5.

• Rodeo Community Center - 1423 East Emma St., Springdale, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov. 2. This polling place will be closed Saturday Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 and also on Monday, Nov. 5.

• Prairie Grove Training Room, 935 East Douglas Street, Suite 4, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thrpugh Friday, Oct. 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov. 2. This polling center will be open Saturday Oct. 27 from 10-4 p.m. This center will be closed on Saturday Nov. 3 and on Monday, Nov. 5.

• West Fork Community Center - 222 Weber Street, West Fork, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 22-26 and Oct. 29-Nov 3. This polling center will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday Oct. 27, but closed Saturday, Nov. 3 and Monday Nov. 5.

Before a person is permitted to cast an Early Vote, the Election Official shall: Request the voter to identify themself by stating their name, date of birth, and address.

If the voter's name and/or address have changed the voter will be requested to complete an Arkansas Voter Registration Application to update their information at the polling center.

These polling centers were approved by the Washington County Election Commission. Any questions may be referred to the Election Commission office by calling 479-444-1766.
