Monthly Dinner & Music

Bethel Grove community will have its monthly dinner and music time Friday, Oct. 5 at the Bethel Grove community building. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m.. Music, featuring John Robert Hart and his group, begins at 7 p.m. Please bring a covered dish.

FARMINGTON

Tribute To Elvis Show

Farmington Senior Activity and Wellness Center presents Bruce Wilburn and his Branson style show, "Tribute to Elvis --Bring Back the Memories," on Friday. Dinner is at 6 p.m., show is at 7 p.m.Tickets are $15 each. Limited seating. Meal will be chicken fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, hot roll and dessert.

Farmington Fall Festival

The city's Economic Development Committee is sponsoring Farmington Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in the area next to Farmington Public Library. The city will give out five daffodil bulbs per family to be planted this fall. The festival also will include live music, food, pony rides, face painting and games.

FAYETTEVILLE

Wedington Fire Breakfast

Wedington Volunteer Fire Department will have a country breakfast, 6-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the fire department, 13496 Highway 16 West, Fayetteville. Cost is $6 adults, $2 ages 6-12, free for children under 6.

LINCOLN

Apple Festival Talent Show

Applications are being accepted for the Arkansas Apple Festival Youth Talent Contest, 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the American Legion building. There will be two age divisions, 8-12 and 13-17. Applications must be received by Oct. 4. There are 12 slots for each age group.

Dog Show & K9 Demonstration

Lincoln Pound Pals will sponsor a dog show during the Arkansas Apple Festival. The show will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Lincoln Square. Entry fee is $25 and everyone will receive a gift. Following the dog show, the Joint Forces K9 organization will present a drug and bomb demonstration using its trained Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds.

PRAIRIE GROVE

Blood Drive

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will have a blood drive 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Prairie Grove High School, 500 N. Cole.

Chamber Golf Tournament

Prairie Grove Area Chamber of Commerce will have its annual golf tournament Monday, Oct. 8, at Paradise Valley Athletic Club, 3728 N. Old Missouri Road, Fayetteville. Entry fee is $400 per team, for a four-man scramble. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Lunch and awards after play. Proceeds will benefit downtown beautification efforts.
