LINCOLN -- Basketball fans were welcomed to the 2019 Lincoln High School Colors Day ceremony Friday prior to conference games for the boys and girls varsity teams against Mansfield.

The public address announcer extended a special welcome to all current and returning Lincoln High School students, while acknowledging teachers, staff and community partners who support Lincoln Schools.

All classes were represented among the 2019 Colors Day court.

Freshman maid Malia Berends, daughter of George and Marla Berends, escorted by her father and senior Shad Mimbs, son of Willie Taylor and Amy Mimbs. Malia is a member of the Multicultural Club.

Freshman maid Jocelyn Watts, daughter of Jonathan and Destiny Watts, escorted by her father and sophomore Daytin Davis, son of Eric and Kayla Davis. Jocelyn participates in cheerleading, softball, track, volleyball and basketball.

Sophomore maid Tiana Anderson, daughter of Thomas and Shelly Dayberry, escorted by her father and sophomore Kyle Job, son of Santos Job and Kimberly Rodgers. Tiana participates in cheer, softball and volleyball.

Sophomore maid Rosa Hernandez, daughter of Richard and Sharon Denton, escorted by her brother, Roy Sanchez, and sophomore Noah Moore, son of Josh and Kendra Moore. Rosa participates in FBLA, Community Service, Upward Bound, Beta Club and Student Council.

Sophomore maid Odessa Stanley, daughter of Tommy Stanley and Sandra Loftin, escorted by her father and sophomore Eli Rich, son of Tim and Debbie Rich. Odessa participates in basketball and soccer.

Junior maid Harley Brown, daughter of Jamie Brown and granddaughter of Tom and Edna Jones, escorted by her grandfather and junior Chance Blankenship, son of Jamie and Christy Blankenship. Harley serves on the Prom committee.

Junior maid Leah Greene, daughter of Chris Greene and Jessica Hippey, escorted by her grandfather Michael Greene and junior Clark Griscom, son of Curtis and Becki Griscom. Leah is the junior class vice president and participates in FFA, Beta Club, Washington County Teen Leadership, Student Council and Upward Bound.

Junior maid Robin Kirk, daughter of Robbie Kirk and Amanda Davis, escorted by her father and junior Chase Hutchens, son of James and Rami Hutchens. Robin is a member of the basketball and soccer teams.

Junior maid Gracee Stout, daughter of Chris and Lisa Stout, escorted by her father and junior Cole Griscom, son of Curtis and Becki Griscom. Gracee participates in FFA, Beta Club, Washington County Teen Leadership, Junior Bank Board, student council and Educational Talent Search.

Senior maid Libby Calico daughter of Bill and Anita Calico, escorted by her father and senior Sterling Morphis, son of Russell Morphis and Mandi Kester. Libby participates in basketball, volleyball, FCA, and Library Club.

Attendants were Bella Cate Keenan, daughter of Grant and Heather Keenan; and Lupe Gomez, son of Darlina Heine and grandson of Sandra Langarica. They both attend Kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary.

Senior maid Elida Cuevas, daughter of Fernando and Lisbeth Cuevas, escorted by her father and senior Adam Keith, son of Shannon Hall. Elida participates in Junior Bank Board, FBLA, Student Council, FCA, Key Club, Beta Club, cheerleading, educational talent search, library club, and is president of the community service club.

Senior maid Allison Cunningham, daughter of Brent Cunningham and Kara Finnigan, escorted by her father and senior Caleb Hale, son of Matt and Melissa Hale. Allison participates in FCA, basketball, volleyball, Beta club, fire marshal, Junior Bank Board, Key Club, athletic leadership team, Special Olympics partner, multicultural club, community service club, library club and yearbook.

Senior maid Averi Massey, daughter of Allen Massey, and Kevin and Olivia Barenberg, escorted by her stepfather and her brother sophomore Weston Massey. Averi participates in Basketball, Volleyball, FFA, FCA, Washington County Teen Leadership, Beta Club, Yearbook, and Library Club.

Senior maid Chloe Sprawls, daughter of Jerry Schuman and Amanda Gentry, escorted by her grandfather, Kenneth Gentry, and senior Cameron Brown, son of Anthony Brown and Ashley Greene. Chloe participates in Beta Club, Band, Color Guard, FBLA, Educational Talent Search, Key Club, Art Club and represented Lincoln at Arkansas Girls' State.

Winning the 2019 Colors Day Queen was Massey, who was crowned by her older sister Ayden Massey, 2018 Colors Day queen. Ayden Massey is the daughter of Allen Massey, and Kevin and Olivia Barenberg. Ayden Massey is currently attending the University of Arkansas majoring in History.

Escorting Averi Massey as she was crowned were seniors Caleb Hale and Sterling Morphis.

Averi Massey has been a Lincoln student for 7 years. In addition to the many clubs she participates in, Averi Massey is also a Scholar Athlete. Next year she plans to attend Arkansas Tech University and major in pre-physical therapy.
