Busy Time With Family Members

This Tuesday morning was a busy one, as I made several phone calls, fulfilling my promises to tell some family members of my latest news.

Nephew Troy Bradley came for a visit. He is one busy guy, already judging cook-outs in the four state area. He said he had missed the last three Sundays of Church. Last weekend he judged in a town down south (I forgot the name) and drove backup to Gravette for an event later. He brought his usual donation for the Beaty Cemetery. And, as usual, he shared a good laugh with me, with a good, funny joke.

I have enjoyed thinking of our latest Birthday Bash. Planning with what they thought would be a time when all could attend, they met at Gabriella's for an early lunch Sunday, as Caleb had to be on his job at noon. All attended, except Caleb, who had gone back to sleep and didn't hear the phone calls. He is carrying quite a load, with classes at the U of A and his job on all off hours. The party was enjoyed, and the employees brought a final dessert for the birthday boy, Garret Lipford.

Coming up, an alumni planning meeting will be held in the library Tuesday, April 30, at 6 p.m. when they will plan to send out letters and reminders of the reunion which is planned for Sunday, July 14.

Also, the 24th annual Cincinnati Arkansas Reunion is set for 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 25, from in the fire station just east of Cincinnati. They plan to feature some hometown folks of the past and present.

Happy birthday to Josie Hobbs, Hunter Taylor, Wilma Myers, Caleb Lloyd, Goy Jones, Sherry Gardner, Kenny Bailey, Jackie Griffin, Joy Thomas, Dorothy Jordan, Jeremy Pitts, Jo Powell, Mike Pinkerton, Verla Barker.

Happy anniversary to Jerry and Judy Bradley, Russel and Rainy Laycox.

Happy years, all!
