Farmington Softball Roundup

FARMINGTON -- Playing the toughest competition available has been a staple of Randy Osnes' tenure as Farmington head softball coach and 2020 began as no exception.

Farmington compiled a 3-0 record before the softball season was suspended by the Arkansas Activities Association in wake of the covid-19 crisis.

Farmington 9, Bentonville West 7

The Lady Cardinals out-hit West 13-10 and won 9-7 on March 10. Cambre Strange went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Carson Griggs tripled and had 2 RBIs. Remington Adams doubled producing 2 RBIs.

Farmington 16, Bryant 6

Kally Stout blasted a pair of home runs driving in 5 runs as the Lady Cardinals won 16-6 by run-rule over Bryant on Friday, March 6. Griggs hit a solo homer for Farmington while Grace Boatwright went 3-for-4 with a double and 4 RBIs. Mckenzi Bogan threw 3 innings and earned the win. Regan Dillon homered for Bryant.

Farmington 8, Har-Ber 1

Bogan limited Springdale to a run on 5 hits through 4 innings and Griggs was just as effective in relief allowing one hit in 3 innings and striking out 4 as Farmington picked up a season-opening 8-1 win on Monday, March 2. Shayley Treat went 3-for-4 doubling twice and scoring 3 runs. Bogan and Adams each went 2-for-4 combining for 3 RBIs. Gabbie Smith was 2-for-3 with a solo home run for Har-Ber.
