PRAIRIE GROVE -- Harrison flexed its muscles running away from Prairie Grove, 78-42, at Goblin Arena on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
"We ran into a buzz-saw at Harrison," said Prairie Grove coach Kevin Froud. "They defend you and score well. They can really score. They're one of the top teams in our classification."
The Lady Goblins bombed away from 3-point land nailing 8 treys while Prairie Grove could only connect on 1-of-6. Harrison got off to a 17-11 start in the first quarter and turned up the heat by adding 22 points in the second quarter. By halftime, Prairie Grove trailed 39-20.
There was not much improvement in the third quarter with Harrison putting another 16 points on the board to 7 for the Lady Tigers making the deficit, 55-27 going into the fourth quarter. Harrison didn't let off the throttle producing its best quarter in the fourth with 23 points.
Prairie Grove also had its best quarter scoring 15 points in the fourth quarter, but that was not enough to keep the score from rising to a 78-42 final.
