COLUMN: Decorating Days Coming Up

When my sewing machine quit working (in the middle of an important project), I called Mr. Honea, and he was so covered up with projects, he said mine was the last one he would take until he caught up. Last week, earlier than expected, he brought it back, completely overhauled and cleaned up - perfect! If anyone needs work on your machine, he is the one to call, the best service with a smile.

Mother's Day wasn't like in former years, but the visit with grandchildren and children, on the porch, was so great; also the many calls and gifts of beautiful flowers and arrangements are precious memories.

Last week, we drove to the doctor for some blood work. We pulled up under a canopy, outside of a small room which they had prepared for "anti-covid 19." Suddenly, a hail storm hit, with some stones as big as the palm of your hand, and each one sounded like a big explosion as it hit the roof. By the time we left, it had stopped, and we were so thankful for our protection from the storm. We prayed for the hundreds who had parked on the hospital grounds, with only the trees for protection.
