Drainage Work For New Subdivision

LYNN KUTTER ENTERPRISE-LEADER
Work going on along Countryside Drive in Farmington is part of the storm drainage for a new subdivision that will be located east of Folsom Elementary and behind the homes on Countryside. Phase 1 of The Grove at Engels Mill will have 80 lots. Storm water will flow into a large detention pond in the northeast corner of the development and then go into pipes running from the pond between two houses to pipes installed in the street. The new storm drainage will flow into the city's drainage system at the intersection of Southwinds and Countryside. Tal Hudson with Riverwood Homes, developer of the subdivision, said the new detention pond and drainage system is designed to mitigate flooding in the area during major rain events.
