FARMINGTON -- The Farmington golf teams competed Sept. 3 against Harrison and Siloam Springs in an 18-hole match at Harrison Country Club.

In the boys match, Farmington earned a team score of 229 to win the event while Siloam Springs (265) and Harrison (272) placed second and third.

Farmington's Rhett South shot a 70 to claim medalist honors, while Dakota Bogan shot 78, Landon Lawson 81 and Clayton Antwine came in at 83.

Reggie Grant led Harrison with an 85 followed by Nicholas Thiel at 88 and Carter Ayers at 99.

Siloam Springs was bunched up, topped by Miles Perkins with an 87, with Max Perkins, Chris Svebek and Breck Soderquist each shooting 89 and Brayden Fain 94.

In girls action, Harrison won the match with a three-member team score of 263, while Siloam Springs shot 277 and Farmington 342. Harrison's Halle Marseilles was the girls' medalist at 81, while Ella Kay Spry turned in an 89 and Riley Richardson 93.

Bailey Cuzick led Farmington with a 92.

Emily Self led Siloam Springs with a round of 87, while Brooke Smith shot 94, Julia Jackson 96, Trang Phan 109 and Baylee Morris 119.

The Cardinals teed off at the Big Sugar Golf Course at Pea Ridge Aug. 27 defeating the host team and Prairie Grove in boys competition.

First place Farmington tallied a boys team score of 133 led by Lawson, 43; Antwine, 44; Bogan, 46; and Sisco, 52. Second place Pea Ridge finished with 143 among: Swope, 41; Schooley, 44; Bowen, 58; and Pike, 60. One of the Blackhawks' JV players, Beck, shot a 59. Third place Prairie Grove had a team total of 151 with Roeder, 44; Benoit, 47; Midwell, 60; and Morell, 64; competing.

A solo competitor for Gentry, Milam, shot a 51.

For the girls, Pea Ridge compiled a three member team score of 174 with King, 53; Hammond, 54; and Allison, 67; making up the squad.

Farmington's Cuzick shot a 53 and Collyer was at 60.

For Gentry, McCollum shot a 65.

Farmington will host the District 4A-1 Golf meet on Sept. 21 at the Fayetteville Country Club.
