He was going to walk-on as soon as he got out of the military. Danged if he didn't get killed going home. He was back working and his car, he had a little Volkswagon Bug and it hit a big pole and it throwed him off and run him into a brick wall and he went through the windshield.
He had already been to Vietnam.
Of all the runningbacks I've seen, of all-around athletes, Sam Tyre, Eddie McClelland, Billy Maxey, Colt Bartholomew, Mitch Bartholomew are the five best all-around athletes I've ever seen. Mike Fidler was right up there real close. Mike Fidler could fly.
