Reliving Taylor’s 3,000 career points

Farmington senior Layne Taylor scored the 3,000th point of his basketball career on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, with this jump shot against Huntsville. Layne Taylor finished with 22 points to lead the Cardinals to a 78-47 victory. The game was halted after the basket with Layne's father, Johnny Taylor, Farmington's head boys basketball coach, making a presentation to commemorate the milestone. Layne is only the fourth player in Arkansas history to score 3,000 points in a career.

FARMINGTON -- Four years ago Layne Taylor made his debut against Providence Academy on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020, at Cardinal Arena, winning 72-53 on his way to scoring 3,000 career points.
